Current Research

Identification of emergent topics in big dynamic data collections, relations between these topics, and dynamics of its structure. The context is the study of scientific databases of articles, aiming to characterizing emergent scientific domains and its dynamics.

Current Projects / Interests 
The Observatorium / Science - a project run at ISCTE-IUL. 
Some of my interests include self-organizing maps, hierarchical self-organizing learning, frequent pattern mining, semantic annotation, emergence and cognition.
